The painter

I was born in 1973 in Normandy (France). Despite an early interest for drawing I came up quite late to practice. Indeed I have waited for the final years of my college studies to register to my first art course as a non student attendant. A few hours of lesson were enough to rise a passion that goes forever. As a matter of fact I'm a bit of a self-taught artist if there is any...Nevertheless I won't deny the importance of artists, friends and relatives who help me to find my way in art. I'm very grateful to the art teachers who always pushed me ahead to fulfill stronger requirements meanwhile they preserved and even developed my passion for art.

Nowadays I still go on with exercising thanks to two evening lessons a week. One focuses on portrait and the other is dedicated to the whole body. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the models for their major contribution to my learning process. I occasionally make still-lifes, abstract works and landscape paintings. All that after work of course! I thought it was time to show my work, that's why I spent some time on building this web-site. Now that it seems to work properly, I want to furnish it a little more so that you can regularly discover new works!

I live in Wageningen, a charming small town of the province Gelderland in the Netherlands (NL). Here Dutch people call me Sebastian Gueijdon. Holland hosts some excellent museums. Dutch people were able to keep or bring back a big part of their master works. The Dutch artists have often be innovatory in the European painting art. The painting art has always been like the best representative of the Dutch culture. Today there is plenty of painters in Holland and many art-lovers! I wish you could see it with your own eyes.
